Siemens is looking for a Regional Account Manager for our Vertical Market Food & Beverage / CPG.

The Siemens Digital Industries – Food & Beverage Vertical is searching for a Regional Account Manager (RAM) to lead and purposefully expand our footprint within key Food & Beverage enterprise client and the associated supply chain. As an executive sales professional, the RAM will be viewed as a “best in class” account manager who will lead Siemens into the next decade of success with our ever-expanding Digital Enterprise portfolio.

In this position:

The RAM is responsible for the development, exploitation, and maximization of the local account penetration and profitable growth of the assigned account. He/she represents Siemens in all sales/strategic activities and acts as interface between the customer and the Siemens organization (HQ, Divisions and Regions).

You will also be responsible for profitable growth of the assigned Key Account for the represented Siemens organizations (Divisions, BUs, Segments). You will have the opportunity to act as interface between the Key Customer and the Siemens organization. As the advocate for the Key Customer’s interests, you will be expected to show a personal long-term dedication for his/her Key Customer (5-7 years). The RAM is the central point of contact for the Divisions, BU’s and Segments for the selected multinational Key Account.

This is a key role within the Vertical Food & Beverage team and therefore, responsible for local business relationships. In this role you will be responsible to establish, develop and maintain a successful and mutually helpful relationship with the C-level of one of Siemens’ most meaningful customers. Additionally, you will coordinate international sales staff members. This individual will need to be accustomed to working with a CRM tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking /forecasting, and overall account coordination. Candidates for this role must have experience working with extended teams across a diverse geography. This position reports to the Head of the Food & Beverage group.

You will need to evaluate the customers market and analyze their business targets & strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain and key business drivers and efficiently transfer this knowledge to the Siemens organizations and Regions. Focus on and pursue strategic business opportunities with the Key Customer by coordinating the activities of the involved Divisions and Regions. Represent the customer to the Siemens organizations and ensure a unified approach across Divisions and Regions towards the customer. Develop a unified 3-5-year key account strategy based on the strategic goals of the customer and market knowledge with the relevant Siemens organizations. Align the Siemens business planning of the respective Siemens organizations with the strategic goals of the customer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  •  5+ years Account Management/Senior Sales and related account management experience with a track record of successful performance (new orders) within the food and beverage or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Familiarity with Siemens' products and solutions
  • Prior experience with simulation or automation software heavily preferred, specifically sales experience with aforementioned software.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing complex projects/customers successfully.
  • Team Leader: Able to manage and motivate people successfully, preferably with experience as a manager of a team in an international environment.
  • University degree in engineering or business administration or other relevant discipline or other suitable education.
  • Executive Level Presence / Communication & Strong Presentation Skills
  • Local and limited International Travel: 30-50%
  • Local and International Travel: 40-50%
