What will you do?

This role is responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, and stocking of finished goods for all product families within the Peterborough factory. It is also responsible to create/plan and complete on time all requirements of the existing perpetual cycle counting process, including running the Audits.

The demand planner also manages the finished goods inventory planning process, which contains stocking decisions for the business unit and plays an essential role in the supply chain process. They also manage the Product lifecycle management (PLM) process for the yearly obsolescence reviews as required.

  • Develop and maintain Forecast and master production schedule plan based on history, seasonality and sales opportunities using appropriate technological solutions.
  • Improve and further develop forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects, as well as performing forecasting analysis, updating SAP, and driving forecasting cross functional meetings with the business.
  • Participate in meetings and keep up to date on issues related to Sales Forecast, Manufacturing, Planning, New Product introductions, KPI's, and other related Supply Chain issues.
  • Analyze and review inventory levels for finished / semi-finished goods for Level and Weighing (Peterborough and Germany) and determine reorder levels and safety stocks. The stock levels set need to support on time delivery performance, ensure product availability, inventory turn targets and minimize inventory costs.
  • Support new product development through cooperative scheduling of model introductions, end of life and prototype processing.
  • Create and revise purchase orders to EC.
  • Support the dedicated cycle counter in coordination and monitoring perpetual cycle counts and results for each fiscal year.
  • Monitor inventory adjustments and ensure properly approved forms are completed for applicable transactions.

What will you need to succeed?

  • College or University Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in materials/logistics/planning preferably in a manufacturing organization
  • Expert user of ERP systems (SAP is preferred)
  • Expert Excel user (Macros and complex formulas and functions)
  • Data Analytics creating and use data visualization and mining tools (Celonis)
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing supply chains and supply chain strategy from raw material to delivery of finished goods
  • Advanced Root Cause analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to lead effective meetings
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Self-starter, takes initiative to drive continuous improvement
  • Interested in learning and exploring new tools and technologies; open to out-of-the-box thinking
