What part will you play? Your role – international, challenging and future oriented.

  • In your new role you will drive active collaboration within global manufacturing excellence teams, partner factories and external partners to drive and establish digital twin concepts and technologies in line with global manufacturing strategies within Motion Control (MC)
  • You will develop and lead digital manufacturing applications and develop new digital capabilities to complement current operations’ methodologies/toolkits
  • Shaping the Xcelerator Platform for our factories regarding Digital Twin with internal and external co-creation partners
  • Promote the developed manufacturing application to support the sales activities of the Siemens Digital Solution portfolio
  • Additionally, you improve manufacturing systems using simulation including problem identification, data collection, input modelling, model construction, developing alternative system configurations, conducting output analysis, comparing alternative systems, drawing conclusions and making recommendations
  • To fulfill this role, you lead and coordinate simulation architecture and capabilities within MC factory network (integration of tools with future reference architecture)
  • Within MC factory network to promote open learning culture and discuss trends as well as guide and train simulation experts within the MC factory network

What you need to make real what matters

  • You have successfully finished your Master studies in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • You have more than 5 years of relevant experience with particular tools (NX to do simple CAD model) and in supporting technical manufacturing in an Industrial Engineering, Process/Product Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation Modeling or similar role
  • You have complete autonomous competency in manufacturing simulation with experience in Tecnomatix suite of products (e.g. plant simulation, process simulate robotics)
  • You have a good understanding of information flows in plant content (e.g. MES, SCADA, Control, I/O) as well as improvement and optimization tools and methods. Deep understanding of production systems and how to optimize them
  • You have the ability to research, design, develop, improve and implement process enhancements, cost reductions, and quality improvements, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts
  • We need you to have a strong manufacturing data analytics and statistical analysis background with proficiency in statistical process control
  • You speak fluent English and have good German language skills
