This is a great opportunity to join a new team as we create a new inside sales department and potentially a first step into a sales role. Although primarily an internal role based at our Manchester office and at home, occasional site visits and overseas training may be required.

We have a fantastic remote working policy and encourage flexible working 2-3 days per week where appropriate.

What are my responsibilities

  • Handling multiple product & sales related customer enquiries in a demanding yet enjoyable zero harm & customer focussed environment
  • Handling customer enquiries via telephone, email & face to face
  • Responsibility for Virtual Account Management 
  • Providing commercial details and formal quotations for defined customer base
  • Account Planning 
  • Opportunity Management 
  • Yearly / Quarterly / Monthly virtual customer contact 
  • Lead Generation & Follow-ups
  • Co-ordinating workflows with External Sales Teams
  • Promotion of Digital Tools
  • Ensuring all interactions are accurately logged on a CRM database

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Be passionate about joining a new team as we embark on our inside sales journey
  • Experience or understanding of inside sales or sales would be advantageous 
  • As this position involves considerable liaison with customers at all levels excellent interpersonal skills, in particular communication skills, are essential.
  • Any experience and knowledge of the Siemens Product portfolio would be advantageous but is not essential as ongoing product training will be provided.
  • Candidates should enjoy working as part of a team but also have the ability to work alone under pressure to meet sales targets
  • A good understanding of IT concepts including Security, Databases and Operating Systems is desirable.
