We’re currently recruiting co-ops for our Spring 2023 Strategic Student Program. Our co-op positions will allow you to find a career path that most inspires you. Here, you will apply your education to solve real-world problems, and turn theory into practice. At Siemens, our goal is to empower our students to become the next leaders of our company.
We have positions available in software development, user experience, data management, technical marketing, engineering consulting, and research & design innovation. More information on our specific roles is included in this document.

Baseline Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Available to work in a part-time capacity (16-25 hours per week) and full-time in summer 2023 may be extended for part time in Fall
  • Hybrid/Remote is preferred to Wilsonville, OR
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company

DevOps/Infrastructure Co-op
Responsibilities:
  • Work on improving existing infrastructure and automation that supports R&D, QA, technical marketing, and build/release teams.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an undergraduate/graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Good experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages (bash, Python, Perl).
  • The candidate should have a powerful desire for continuous improvement and have a passion for automation and making tasks repeatable.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills are key attributes, including the ability to investigate, isolate and remedy software defects.
  • This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work constructively and productively on a team, as well as alone, is essential.
  • The candidate should be resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative when appropriate.
  • Experience with SCM (Software Configuration Management) like CVS and Git is a plus.
  • Experience with relational databases is a plus.
Siemens Industry Software Inc. is a technology supplier to the United States Federal Government. Recently The White House issued an Executive Order requiring most federal workers, contractors and subcontractors who do business with the government to get vaccinated against COVID-19 unless granted an accommodation due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief or practice.
