  • In your new role, you will be responsible for the international commissioning of the automation part for industrial solutions in the mining sector.
  • You will be involved in the transition from engineering to system testing to familiarise yourself with the respective customer-specific solution.
  • The scope of duties includes integration tests of the overall solution of all components, including the control cabinets in E-Containers.
  • You will take over the installation, parameterisation and commissioning of the automation components and the applications developed on them on site.
  • You will work hand in hand with the entire commissioning team consisting of colleagues from the Erlangen headquarters and colleagues from the regional Siemens units in the country of the respective customer.
  • You carry out the performance and acceptance tests together with the customer.
  • You will prepare commissioning reports to document progress, highlight unplanned challenges and contribute to improving our solutions as part of a lessons learned process at the end of the project.

Your profile.
  • The basis of your success is a completed bachelor's degree (or diploma) in automation technology, computer science or information technology, or the equivalent of several years of professional experience in the field of automation.
  • Ideally, you also have initial professional experience in the field of mining or alternatively knowledge of the process industry.
  • Extensive experience of TIA and SIMATIC PCS 7 is a prerequisite.
  • You convince with your assertive personality as well as your distinct understanding of process technology combined with a "hands-on" mentality. 
  • Experience in international assignments combined with cultural understanding and language skills are desirable. A general willingness to travel globally is a prerequisite, combined with flexible travel to the customer in case of malfunctions on the plant.
  • Personally, you will impress us with your communication skills and your enjoyment of working in a team.
  • Very good English and ideally Spanish skills round off your profile.
