Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our fast growing and innovative business. We are the global market leader in MR imaging with a global market share of over 40 percent. Backed by our R&D experts, we drive the digital transformation in imaging and create patient-centric innovations that solve real-life problems for better patient care.

The design and manufacture of our products is centered around three key locations, Erlangen in Germany, Shenzhen in China and Oxford in the UK. Our Oxford location manufactures and is the design authority for the superconducting magnet at the heart of every MR scanner.

This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the business. As part of our long-term strategy, we are currently in the early stages of building a new world-class purpose-built 45,000m2 facility in Oxfordshire.

Working with colleagues in the other locations, the Commercial Manager will provide robust financial planning, analysis and commercial acumen to the Product Lifecycle Management area of the business and be a key member of the team.

The Commercial Manager role is hybrid working with excellent benefits including, bonus, share scheme, up to 10% employer pension contribution, onsite gym, BUPA, flexible working and free onsite parking.

Your mission and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the project teams to understand risks & opportunities and ensure they are clearly reflected in plans and financials
  • Develop insights to drive management decisions and improve operational and financial results
  • Prepare the monthly forecast and annual budget, evaluating forecasts, financial data and information for accuracy, consistency and transparency
  • Prepare business cases and evaluate investment opportunities including research and development projects.
  • Implement lessons learnt and recommendation of improvements for future projects to ensure more robust financial and project control
  • Actively seek out areas for productivity improvement in the business and drive through the implementation.
  • Manage working capital to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Manage stakeholders including senior management, corporate and headquarter functions as well as external parties such as auditors.
  • Continuously look for improvement and efficiency opportunities within the role leveraging digitalisation.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

  • Capable of bringing transparency to complex topics and communicate financial aims and needs to non-financial experts.
  • Ability to lead discussions with and influence key stakeholders from across the functions and headquarters.
  • Able to build and lead cross functional teams.
  • Affinity for implementing IT solutions and process improvements.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA) or detailed relevant experience.
