Technical Business Development Manager

As, Technical Business Development Manager, you are responsible to generate leads, translate leads to tangible business around digital transformation, digital industry, smart cities, campus and buildings, smart grids, mobility, or any other area that is pertinent to Siemens’ area of business. You will act autonomously to achieve sales objectives with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. Meet prospective clients to promote company’s products/services/solutions addressing or predicting clients’ objectives. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Formulate and lead presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Facilitate client understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks, provision of support throughout the sales process.

·       Liaise with CEO and senior management to collaboratively make decisions on sales activities and set strategic goals.

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

·       Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of sales activities to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks

·       Manage associated processes related to support functions such as SCM, procurement, admin, legal etc., including any risks that might impact the targets.

·       Review financial information and sales targets make necessary adjustments in consultation with the management

What you need to make real what matters

  • You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with MBA from premier B schools. Proficiency in English, communication and negotiation skills, In-depth market knowledge is a must.
  • You will have clear understanding of the emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Advanced analytics, Industrial IoT, Industrial Metaverse etc., and their application in various domains such as digital industry, smart cities, campus and buildings, smart grids, mobility etc.,
  • You will have hands on experience running sales operations in a multinational organization of similar nature and size. ODC/GIC experience is a must.
  • You will work in collaboration with other functions and teams globally and locally.
  • You understand large scale digital transformation business and can decipher clients’ needs matching them with our offerings.
  • You are a quick learner and can decipher data from various sources to derive meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople 

 “client partner” and “customer advocate” for the company’s customer relationships, is ideally suited for a professional who will serve as the owner of four to six strategically important customer relationships.

you will liaise with the CEO and senior management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. You will support planning and monitoring of day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress. You will support and drive sessions with other senior management to derive organization KPA and KPIs. You will be responsible for developing the budgetary plans for the organization. You will Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
