We are looking for a Junior R&D engineer for Digital IC Verification.

As a Junior R&D engineer you will become part of the Siemens Technology department. You will be actively involved in Development (D) of new Digital ICs (ASIC/SoC/FPGA) tailored for Siemens’s products and contribute to Research (R) activities for improvements of Digital IC Design&Verification flows and methodologies.

The required R&D activities cover the whole Digital IC Verification area, depending on the project needs (specifications, verification planning, definition and implementation of verification environments and components, reference models (or even RTL) implementation, verification execution, debug and results analysis) at different levels (module-level, chip-level, system-level). It also involves development of automation scripts, development of software components (for analysis or system tests), improvements and innovation in the verification flow (analysis and implementation of new verification methods).

Required skills:
  • BSc/MSc degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering / Automation / Computer Science.
  • 0-3 (junior level) years of experience in digital IC Verification and/or Design.
  • Knowledge of OOP and languages (C / C++/ C#).
  • Good knowledge of digital circuits, hardware description languages (VHDL / Verilog) and/or verification languages (SystemVerilog / e).
  • Understanding Digital IC Design flow and knowledge of EDA simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of computer architectures, data transmission protocols, digital interfaces.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl / Tcl / Python / sh).
  • Experience in verification methodologies (UVM / eRM / VMM / OVM).
  • Experience in ASIC, SoCs, On-chip busses, CPU architectures.
  • Experience in FPGA implementation and/or verification.
