The Point-of-Care (POC) business develops and sustains systems for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) instruments for point of care and laboratory medical testing. Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as the Senior Manager of SW Test for POC R&D. This position is part of the POC Common SW Platform and SW Test leadership team and reports to the Head of Common SW Platform and SW Test for POC.

As the Senior Manager of  SW Test for POC R&D you will be responsible for:


·        Managing and developing a team of up to 30 software test engineers in multiple locations worldwide supporting creation of software products in alignment with the SW development and R&D Franchise teams

·        Timely delivery of SW while meeting and exceeding customer expectation regarding quality and usability

·        Responsibility for all SW testing across POC

·        Setting, monitoring and improving KPIs for the quality of SW delivery

·        Coordinating with Franchise R&D teams to resolve project impediments

·        Collaborating closely with the embedded and system SW teams within the franchise R&D organizations to ensure proficient and systematic delivery of SW products.

·        Harmonizing software verification processes across POC

·        You have strong leadership abilities to manage and lead teams of direct and non-direct reports in a matrixed organization across multiple locations

·        You have a strong technical background in SW testing and agile SW development in the medical device or IVD space

·        You have successfully delivered complex SW projects using external partnerships comprising an offshore component.

·        You have excellent skills in communication, negotiation and influencing

·        You can coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, timelines and resources

·        You have strong analytical skills to assess situations and drive decision making

Required education, experience & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree strongly preferred
  • ­5+ years of experience leading software development organizations in medical devices or IVD
  • Working knowledge of FDA Design Controls, ISO, IVDD and IVDR regulations desired
  • Certified Software Testing ISTQB Foundational or greater level desired
  • Certified SW Scrum Master or SAFe certification desired
Travel up to 15% 

The pay range for this position in  NYC or Westchester County, NY   is $150,528 - $206,976 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
