Mission/Position Headline:

Responsible for overall procurement activities in SSME business lines / technology units. Develop and implement Procurement strategy (for both commodity and supplier), standards and guidelines with the objective of maximizing the contribution to the product development / manufacturing process and operating profit through continuously optimizing the purchasing and procurement processes.

Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Ensure efficiency of procurement operations in respective business lines / technology units. Plan, optimize and control the result from materials to increase the EVA in the area of responsibility. 

2. Initiate procurement processes and pinpoint from approaches to problem-solving to secure local objectives.

3. Actively support global procurement strategies by implementing the roadmap to achieve worldwide strategic goals for business lines/technology units, and secure maximum productivity and cost targets.

4. Early integrate in all procurement-related procedures to be a competent partner to all internal customers for the early integration of suppliers. 

5. Source, select and evaluate suppliers, continuously develop worldwide master supplier data on the basis of cross-functional teams to ensure that demand is met to the highest possible degree and to implement joint cost objectives from the outset.

6. Actively benchmark procurement related procedures and figures to derive approaches for continuous improvement by comparisons and implement by means of appropriate measures.

7. Team management, actively support employees in complex and difficult procedures to ensure team performance and success of employees.

8. Other tasks assigned by superiors.

Education and Experience

Several years’ working experience in various procurement functions as well as cross-functional experience gained in procurement-related functional areas; team management experience

Bachelor degree or above
