Security Sales Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Smart Infrastructure business unit for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer. The role will be working within the Security part of our business, based in any one of our Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney offices.  

Reporting to the Tendering Manager in the Engineering team, this role will be responsible for the growth targets in the Service and Solutions portfolios across Australia. The primary function is to support our sales organisation with technically accurate and attractive tenders, including offer development, estimation and proposal generation. Communication with internal and external customers is critical to understanding the solution requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 
• Performing all required Sales Engineering activities including;
  - Evaluating customer requirements and developing a solution to meet those requirements
  - Configuration of controls equipment, peripherals and system software
  - Estimating technical and commercial labour requirements to deliver solutions, including necessary sub-contractors
  - Compliance to the Siemens Sales Process
  - Production of compelling Sales Proposals

You will be required to set up bid teams as necessary for large projects, including commercial & project execution component, through to the technical element and final bid composition. This will be achieved by working closely with Senior Sales Executives & Project Managers, ensuring a clear, attractive, and competitive customer value proposition. 

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a Certificate/Diploma in a technical and/or commercial discipline, have experience in the Security or ICT industry and be able to demonstrate a successful track record. You will also have a technical knowledge of the Security, Building Controls and Automation sector, ideally with some Mechanical, Electrical or Network Communications industry experience.

You must be able to communicate effectively and be able to build strong relationships at all levels internally and within customer organisations.
