  • Your tasks include conceptualization, implementation and operation of an effective end-to-end testing approach, including test automation, architecture and infrastructure for cloud-based applications in an innovation project.
  • You will be at the center of varied tasks to implement IoT data services, scalable cloud architectures and applications in Big Data cloud and on-premise environments.
  • In your role, you are part of an agile team and independently drive strategies, concepts and implementation of test automation for backend services, frontend as well as for APIs and non-functional requirements in close collaboration with your team and across Scrum teams.
  • You actively participate in knowledge transfer within and outside the young, dynamic team and provide guidance and coaching for all software testing related topics in the complete software lifecycle.
  • You will work closely with all stakeholders such as developers, architects, PO/PM, Infrastructure and Operation teams, and RTE to communicate all aspects of testability and other quality attributes.
  • You will define and maintain an effective and efficient test architecture in close collaboration with infrastructure teams and test managers.
  • To this end, you will provide technical input for risk assessment and management, making maximum use of the Jira ALM Suite.
  • You will also support system and software architects as well as project team members in all quality related aspects, such as design for testability, specification and breakdown of quality requirements and definition of non-functional requirements.

  • You have completed a master's degree in computer science or have an equivalent education
  • You have extensive experience in modern testing methods and technologies for cloud-based software products, including the associated CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Container Technologies, Jira/Xray.
  • You bring basic experience in test management, especially test-first approach (Shift Left, Behavior/Test Driven Development, E2E Workflow Test, etc.).
  • You are experienced in the selection of appropriate test techniques, test tools and corresponding guidelines as well as in the estimation of test efforts.
  • Agile software development processes (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM) are familiar to you.
  • The agile test pyramid with its test levels as well as its active implementation with the focus of the max. re-use approach in the teams are well known to you and have been an essential part of your daily tasks so far.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of common programming languages and methodologies and are proficient in Infrastructure As Code (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Go, Helm, Terraform) as well as cloud technologies of various hyperscalers (AWS, Azure) and frameworks (e.g. AWS, Redis, PostgreSQL, .NET Core).
  • You have several years of experience in software architecture or cloud infrastructure and are familiar with microservice architectures, Kubernetes, Kafka, Rest and Async APIs.
  • In addition, you bring skills in the use of appropriate software and testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Selenium Grid, Protractor, Jasmine, Jenkins/GitLab Runner, K6, Locust, JMeter, Cucumber).
  • You convince with your communication skills and are able to present complex topics in a simple and consistent way. 
  • You can represent test concepts strategically and technically and communicate with both management and development teams at eye level.
  • You are characterized by a very good command of English and are used to working in global, agile international teams.
