The Senior Product Manager, Global Marketing – CV Ultrasound is responsible for global marketing and branding efforts for the cardiovascular ultrasound portfolio, partnering closely with Sales to understand the market, customers, trends and competitors, and develop marketing plans, strategies and tactics to drive expected results; works with team to lead the implementation, measure and follow-up.

The Senior Product Manager (SPM) demonstrates advanced understanding and experience in product/market management, works with minimum supervision and is responsible for the defining product strategies including product definition, positioning, distribution and promotion to drive the overall success of a product line. The SPM is responsible for both upstream and downstream marketing, planning, developing, management and implementing marketing strategies for their given product lines to achieve corporate revenue goals by product or market segment.  The SPM will be held accountable for sustainable results in product sales and managing marketing budget for the cardiovascular ultrasound portfolio.

This is an opportunity to drive the market adoption of pioneering Cardiovascular Ultrasound systems and Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) Catheter medical devices.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for our portfolio of Cardiology Ultrasound systems and catheters, to increase market penetration and share by attracting potential customers and retaining existing ones. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Identifies, develops, and executes product strategies, market plans, promotional programs and related activities for the Cardiovascular Ultrasound marketing team to ensure existing and new products meet franchise goals and expectations
  • Develops, communicates, and executes short, mid, and long-term marketing and sales support strategies and tactics
  • Develops and executes global product or therapy specific marketing campaign strategies to include product-oriented positioning documents, profiles, competitive analysis, presentations, etc.
  • Partners with global commercial teams to understand needs and develop programs and initiatives to achieve defined sales and customer objectives
  • Conducts market research as necessary to understand market trends, competitive activity, customer perspectives, etc.
  • Prepares and executes detailed new product go-to-market launch plans including but not limited to: positioning, messaging, clinical training, site targeting, clinical evidence generation, forecasting, pricing, reimbursement, economic value proposition, and promotional programs and campaigns
  • Maintains frequent and regular contact with strategic industry experts, field visits with key clinicians and sales reps, participation in key meetings and conferences to ensure company and products well perceived vs. competition
  • Works collaboratively with marketing communications, product management and other related departments to ensure products are properly positioned utilizing creative strategies to maximize sales and profits
  • Presents market opportunities and market analyses to cross-functional peers and the leadership team
  • Manage product brand from inception to commercialization and present strategies to management. Execute strategies accordingly.

As a Global Senior Product Manager, you must have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to connect with physicians and other clinical key opinion leaders worldwide.

The Role will require a close collaboration with all functions within the broader Siemens Healthineers Ultrasound Marketing and Sales teams as well as with our R&D, Service, Product Management, Supply Chain Management departments and external business partners.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Biomedical Engineering or Lifesciences
  • Masters or equivalent educational background (MBA highly preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in product marketing, marketing or clinical marketing
  • 5 years of experience in the healthcare or life science industry
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market plans
  • Experience in product launches
  • Fluent in English; both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Great communicator and strong presentation skills
  • Analytical problem solver
