Job Title: ZDRE JV General Manager

Location:Taiyuan in Shanxi Province

Organization: Siemens Mobility China (SMO China)

Mode of Employment: Full time only

Mission: Overall corporate responsibility for all functions and SMO business activities for ZDRE in China. Leads the organization to obtain optimal result in terms of profit, growth and innovation through the best use of human resources, technical and financial means, within the framework of the ZDRE strategy and the approved ZDRE budget. Determines the strategic direction for ZDRE in China.

What are my responsibilities?

·       ZDRE business responsibility (profit and loss) for economic success to attain the established objectives

·       Strategic and organizational direction of the SMO business and SMO business processes

·       Continually compares ZDRE target and actual result to establish objectives and appropriate control measures and to reliably forecast and ensure the course of ZDRE business. Risk management: assesses possible unexpected events & in projects, in order to be able to initiate prevention measures

·       Development and implementation of SMO ZDRE business strategies, as well as acquisition strategies for identified opportunities

·       Identify customer potentials, analyze customer / interested parties for early identification. Sales management, customer contact, competition analysis

·       Initiate, support the development of regional concept, cross-regional marketing

·       Top acquisition of profitable project and maintains relationships with customers and interested parties at the decision-making level to ensure the basis for sustainable, lucrative SMO ZDRE business relationships

·       Drives innovative technological concept and technologies to be applied, optimizes project management with respect to local customers' needs

·       Develops, adapt and implement optimal organizational forms, procedures and processes to ensure the efficient use of resources.

·       Optimal use of all resources, selection of sales channels, ensures contract are fulfilled in order to best meet customer requirement and provide added value. 

·       Excellent employee management taking into account development, planning and leadership programs to ensure long-term corporate success through highly-motivated, qualified employees.

·       Establishes and implement ZDRE objectives with shareholders and headquarters.

·       Keep good relationship with customers, shareholders, supervisors and local government to secure the daily company operation and further business development

What do I need to qualify for this job?

·       Experienced manager in China (preferably in an OC), with complex project and/or manufacturing experiences. 

·       At least 5 years management experience to an organization/business with total HC of approx. 200 employees.

·       High level of social and leadership skills. Uses the matrix organization well to further develop the SMO business.

·       More than 3 years international experience to work successfully with responsibility for employees, projects, factories, processes.

·       Competence to manage relationship with Chinese JV partner.

·       Solid rail industry experience and rail industry know-how is preferred

·       Gearbox knowledge is preferred

·       Advanced English language skills
