Position Title: Sr. Business & Financial Analyst

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA or Remote

Overview:

Siemens Industry, Inc., SI EP – Finance Operations, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team who enjoys challenges. This position with work with Plants Controllers and Analysts to create data transparency, drive standardization, create self-service analytics and deepen collaboration between plants and segments. 

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Business and Financial Analyst, you will support Finance Operations team and drive improvements, transparency, and digitalization initiatives on multiple levels. The tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Manage consistency and consolidate Finance Operations financial data
  • Drives consistency and accuracy of CAPEX Funding Requests
  • Month end activities including but not limited to cost analyses, transparency as well as balance sheet accuracy
  • Forecast/Budget profitability evaluation and consistency of data from plant related profit centers
  • Support cost improvement and asset optimization initiatives.
  • Drive standardization of plant finance processes and controls
  • Partner with Segment Finance to enable financial transparency at all levels
  • Develop, align, and introduce self-service reporting and analytics for plant financial KPI’s utilizing Knime and Tableau
  • Drive cross plant collaboration initiatives
  • Support management with Ad-Hoc analyses in a fast paced & dynamic environment as well as with presentations internally as well as externally.
  • Work closely with the extended EP finance community and continuously enhance and improve reporting processes.

 Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

All qualified candidates must have at least 4 years of experience inclusive of:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or finance required
  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Solid business acumen and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly developed analytical skills and detail-orientation
  • Team-orientation with “we can do it” mentality
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong sense of ownership for process improvements and internal digitalization of processes, ideally with prior exposure to data analysis
  • Proficient with MS Office, SAP, and systems such as Hyperion, Essbase, Tableau, Knime, additional digitalization tools are a plus.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced certifications
  • Previous experience in finance operations preferred
  • Travel approximately 10-15% as the need arises.
  • Strong Organizational skills with a focus on process improvements
