As part of the global Sales Excellence Team of the business unit Building Products (BP), Digital Sales is responsible for the digital transformation in Sales

About the Role:

The global Siemens Building Products' future e-commerce strategy, their implementation and governance are the three major cornerstones of your work

As an e-Commerce Professional you will define a comprehensive e-commerce strategy, set priorities and drive the consequent global implementation respecting local particularities

Building up and leading a global e-commerce community, setting up guidelines, and keeping governance is in your DNA

Together with the cross-functional online sales team you steer BP toward omnichannel excellence and represent BP in various online sales communities within Siemens


The Role

  • Defining the e-commerce strategy for Building Products including marketplaces and online distribution strategy
  • Work out channel guidelines for the regions and govern their adherence
  • Driving the BP online sales with clear priorities toward excellence and growth
  • Define channel readiness measures (portfolio definition, data, marketing material, etc.) and enable usage
  • Building up and leading an international e-commerce community
  • Leading a cross-functional online sales group ensuring channel readiness, executing, and measuring activities
  • Analyze sales performance of e-commerce platforms and derive corrective actions
  • The role involves change and advanced stakeholder management in an international and complex environment

Your Profile

Knowledge and experience:  

  • At least three years of experience in a similar position
  • Deep understanding of omnichannel strategies
  • You know the e-commerce requirements, speak the language of online distributors, and understand their needs
  • Strategic thinker and able to act as an SME in the above Field of expertise
  • Experienced in B2B (B2B2C) digital sales processes
  • Able to understand data standards (e.g. ETIM) as well as data publishing methodologies
  • Applicants with experience working in large and complex organizations will have a natural advantage, as the job's environment is to act within a global stakeholder network
  • Sales and Business Development skills/experience are beneficial
  • You are fluent in German and English
