Junior Motion Control Field Service Engineer

The Digital Industries (DI) Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services in order to support manufacturing companies worldwide in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of their manufacturing processes and reducing the time to market of their products.

Now Digital Industries Division is looking for Junior Motion Control Field Service Engineer

Your role – challenging and future oriented: 

• Passion for automation, drive technology and motion control. 
• Work with new future-oriented products of SINAMICS, SIMOTICS, SIMATIC and SINUMERIK systems and create or accompany automation and drive concepts from the idea to the first application at the customer's site
• Plan motion sequences in machines and plants (handling, robotics, mechanics with multidimensional degrees of freedom) using algorithms for calculation and optimization 
• Create innovative automation and drive applications in the digitalization environment and help shape the future of Industry 4.0 
• Calculate the entire drive train (converter, motor, mechanics and control) and optimize/analyze the behavior with suitable simulation tools 
• Support virtual commissioning of machine tools
• Installation and commissioning of digital services in digital factory transformation
• Support to hotline and technical clarification team in back-office mode
• Application of software development for retrofitting projects

Your qualifications:

• Technical background and university degree in the field of Automation, Mechatronics, Machine building or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge in PLC, drives and motors, CNC controls, servo systems and drives are plus 
• Experience with Machine Tools and understanding of industrial communication system would be an advantage
• Additional IT and programming knowledge (such as C++, C#) is also welcomed.
• Fluency in English and German is an advantage
• Flexible, responsible, and initiative person with great communication skills and ability for teamwork
