Overhead Contact Line Engineer (OCS) – Rail Electrification

We seek to hire an Overhead Contact Line Engineer (OCE) to produce and develop Overhead Catenary System submittals with other associated documentation, calculations, and drawings for assigned projects. Our campus in Wilsonville, OR, will provide a modern landscape for you to work closely with our Technical Managers to ensure the presentation of integrated engineering solutions to our customers. Your passion for providing the highest quality and exceptional customer service should be transparent in your delivery timescales (within budget) without compromising the quality or safety of our products and services.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Basic and detailed designing of Overhead Contact Lines (OCL).
  • Preparation of mechanical design drawings for Overhead Contact Line components and part lists (for OCS for Railway Electrification) considering the customer specifications and our regulations and standards layout Plan, Cross Section Drawings.
  • Review and coordinate user documentation and drawings
  • Planning and controlling one's engineering work packages given date, cost, and quality aspects
  • Give drafting support to engineers on submittals, and as-built drawings
  • Product support given standardization and documentation.
  • Knowledge of company Design Tools (Sicat Master, CanDrop) will be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in Finite Element Modelling (FEM) preferred.
  • Accept a personal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissions
To thrive in this role, you have:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Great teammate with strong leadership potential.
  • Passionate and think out-of-the-box, with a desire to influence and drive the changes in the industry.
  • Curiosity to learn new tools
  • Working knowledge of Overhead catenary systems is preferred
