HW Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) for eMobility fleet applications

Job Description

CAAS is redefining the EV charging market for fleets, including autonomous driving fleets, transit bus agencies, municipal and private fleets. We are building the next level of a comprehensive service, taking complete ownership and control of the charging infrastructure, the scheduling of the vehicles, the cloud platform, and the utility meter – in order to provide the highest availability and resilience in the market. In this way, we will accelerate the adoption of electric-powered fleets by optimizing the delivery of power and making refueling seamless and efficient. 

Our approach is to offer charging as a service that is unique in the industry. We target to offer our customers a per mile driven or per kWh usage rate which includes the financing of the directly related infrastructure needed to provide that.

  • In your new role you are part of the global team for the development, sale, and realization of new service oriented comprehensive business models within the electrical fleet transportation business
  • As part of the portfolio management team, you will work to identify and qualify the AC and DC charging and other electrical HW portfolio elements needed to provide our services in Europe
  • You will take the lead in defining the right HW portfolio derived from our customer use cases and applications e.g. long haul transport, last mile applications, regional transport and utility and disposal services with their respective needs for charging.
  • You lead the cooperation with internal and external suppliers to get to the best result for Siemens
  • You take responsibility, for a holistic product management approach across the entire value chain (Siemens PLM process)
  • You manage regional variants; involve stakeholders and take care of budgeting and monitoring of the development, qualification, or brand labelling projects
  • You take care to gather the needed market- and customer requirements and own the product and technology requirement specification
  • You actively seek information about the market & technology developments, participate in fairs & customer meetings, helping Siemens to reach and maintain a market leading position for new electrified transportation services
Your qualifications
  • You hold a masters degree as electrical engineer or industrial engineer, alternatively business administration with proven insights into technical business areas
  • You have worked for several years in the charging infrastructure market ideally, within an organization installing and operating charging infrastructure
  • You already have experience within product management
  • In addition, you have a good understanding of business modelling and setting up of business cases
  • You have worked in Germany and abroad; traveling internationally is not an obstacle
  • Besides being fluent in English and having a good German understanding, speaking a further European language would be an advantage
  • The ability to present to customers and internal stakeholders is a clear requirement
