Job Description

Should have enough understanding of SAP for Purchase Order creation (Export & Local suppliers).
Should track Open POs and get order confirmation (OC) from vendors, updating the same in POs.
Should have to follow-ups with suppliers for material deliveries and pushing them to release of advance documents to align with forwarder well in advance.
Should communicate with freight forwarders as per transportation mode (Air / Sea) & aligning for pick up.
Should track the ETA’s and pushing them for earliest arrivals.
Should have close co-ordination with Customs clearing partners / EXIM team for smooth and confirmed clearance of shipment.
Should analyze and Minimize the Freight cost by opting the SEA mode wherever possible and make it possible.
Should have close co-ordination with planning team for Vacuum Interrupter ordering & other import items.
Should plan and forecast of Imported Components with the help of planner.
Should generate vendor stock report on monthly basis, sending to respective team members for getting confirmation from vendors, release of final stock consolidation of report.
Should calculate (LISEK) Delivery Reliability / Capability and releasing to suppliers on monthly basis.
Should have great Communication skills to all levels (written & spoken).
SAP knowledge like MRP, PO creation.
Should closely monitor inventory levels to avoid excess / unwanted inventory.
Should ensure continuous supply of required materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
Should proactively manage suppliers where delivery dates are at risk by escalating within the supplier organization to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve deliveries.

What you will need to be successful in this role:-
3-5 years of experience in procurement / SCM in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in SAP.
Proficient MS Excel skills. Well versed other MS Office products (Word, Excel & Outlook).
Experience in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment.
