The EHS Office in Zug is responsible for the entire range of topics relating to operational and product-related environmental protection, occupational and technical safety, and health protection. Here, too, we must meet the challenges of global competition and contribute with forward-looking approaches – from Environmental Sustainability within our operations and products to Social Sustainability – which means offering our employees a physically and psychologically healthy and safe work environment. We need an energetic person who can support our experienced EHS team in Zug in a professional and dynamic manner.


Your new responsibilities

  • Lead, advise and support the management of the various organizational units such as manufacturing, R&D, IT, procurement in complying with environmental, health and safety standards from Switzerland and Kanton Zug. You will integrate future EHS aspects into the existing business processes.
  • Organizing and conducting internal EHS trainings, as well as planning and conducting internal EHS audits. The support of external audits is also part of your tasks.
  • Support, initiate and evaluate incident investigations such as occupational accidents, near misses, and other hazardous situations at the site. Here you will analyze the reasons, initiate appropriate improvements for the future, and verify their effectiveness.
  • As a proactive person, you will work on the definition and implementation of our future environmental sustainability and occupational safety measures – in close cooperation with your interfaces from the cross-functions in Zug.
  • Your responsibility within the area of Product-related Environmental Protection (PrEP) requires engagement in our local and global network, connecting to colleagues from PrEP and other departments world-wide.
  • You collect and report EHS-related data, which will indicate our progress on Group-wide EHS metrics.
  • As the person responsible for the EHS, you are the person to set the right impulses for tomorrow. Furthermore, you maintain good working relationships with the relevant authorities.
  • In this role we are looking for an operational active person for our International Headquarters in Zug.

Your skills and experiences

  • A degree in natural sciences or engineering. Any specialization in environmental technology, safety engineering or materials science / materials engineering is helpful.
  • Education or further training in the field of environmental protection, such as environmental manager, in combination with several years of practical experience in this field desirable.
  • Basic qualification as an occupational safety specialist according to Swiss standards is a prerequisite, including first experience with the preparation of workplace-related risk assessments and root cause analyses. Qualification in fire protection and emergency management is helpful.
  • Knowledge and experiences in several of the following fields are the basis of your work:
    • EHS management system according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
    • Environmental legislation concerning RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Batteries, Packaging Material, Eco-design, Circular Economy
  • Your ability to communicate in a way that is appropriate to the target group or level can inspire your colleagues. Proficiency in common presentation techniques and experience conducting training and workshops will help communicate your work.
  • Any expertise in negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution techniques would be an asset in your daily work.
  • We are looking for very good German language skills as well as sufficient English language skills for the analysis of standards, guidelines and laws as well as the communication you will be sending out.
  • As you are the person driving the digital change, you bring along a communicative personality that can convince other stakeholders, function under pressure and present results to the peers and our management. Following up on agreements is part of your job as well.
