Vertical Sales Manager

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plans sales volumes and potential of target customers. 
  • Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning. 
  • Analyses the customers markets, strategy, position and needs. 
  • Prepares customer contacts, and builds and maintains a customer focused network. 
  • Investigates for and evaluates specific business opportunities for product solutions by analyzing product related mid-term customers investments. 
  • Supports customer directly in cost/benefits analyzes and calculations in order to demonstrate specific advantages of using Siemens products.
  • Prepares and negotiates projects, proposals, in cooperation with other involved professionals and management.  
  • Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the customer. 
  • May act as a point of contact in commercial matters. 
  • Completes sales and revenue related key reporting. 
  • Contributes to the development of a customer needs focused After Sales Service.  

What do I need to qualify for the role?
  • Several years of professional experience (3 - 5 years) in the area of sales, account management, distributorship management
  • Several years of professional experience (3 - 5 years) in the area of programming, service & support, project management, consulting or commisioning /plant would be an added advantage.
  • Graduate in B.Eng with relevant sales & marketing experience. 
  • Knowledge in Control & Instrumentation is an added advantage; preferably in the process industry of Water, Waste-water, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical.
  • Ability to proficiently operate PC related software packages (Microsoft Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent customer service, Interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, quality and changed oriented with initiative and eager ability to learn. 
  • Must be fast learner and should be able to think analytically 
  • Fluent spoken and written English and preferably language of respective location and customer.
