From our headquarters in Zug we sell building technology products to the developing markets in the Near East, Middle East, Africa and South America. We are responsible for the marketing, technical support and overall export and logistical chain. The products are sold via our international partners in the various countries. Our Sales Team in Zug are now seeking to reinforce our Export/Logistics area with regard to the organisation of the sales processes from order placement through to the successful delivery.

 Your new tasks

  • Responsibility for the operational checking and processing of orders in line with the specified commercial conditions (e.g. price and export controls, terms and conditions of payment and delivery, local import conditions)
  • Customer care in close collaboration with the Sales & Business Development Team
  • Preparation of offers, order confirmations and other documentation right through to invoicing and revenue recognition as well as credit notes and debit notes using SAP R/3
  • Preparation and management of letter of credit transactions and documentary collections
  • Acting as the hub between our international partners, internal departments such as Finance, Technical Support, Logistics and Procurement, our distribution centres in Europe the USA and Asia and forwarding companies and shippers
  • Monitoring orders from customers and the coordination of on-time deliveries/contacts with carriers for the collection of export consignments on the planned date
  • Handling loss/damage in transit situations
  • Advising customers in German, English or French
  • Assembling the necessary export documents such as the customs invoice, export lists, delivery notes, packing lists, certificates of origin and authentications
  • Support for accounts receivable management
  • Preparation of reports, for instance on open order levels, delivery performance, freight costs
  • Participation in the continuous improvement process

 Your skills and experience

  • Successful completion of a basic commercial or technical education and training
  • Ideally, further study to qualify as an international trade specialist (Aussenhandelsfachmann/frau) or export specialist (Exportfachmann/-frau)
  • Approximately two to three years’ experience in a comparable position in the field of exports/logistics outside the EU
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, international transport processing, settlement processes (letters of credit, documentary collection)
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 and Microsoft Office
  • Organisational skills with a good feel for prioritisation and an attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication skills and customer-orientation
  • Enthusiasm for your work in an exciting multi-cultural environment
  • A reliable and solution-oriented team player
  • Professionally proficient in written and spoken German and English; other languages such as French are an advantage
