Head of Business Finance Excellence and Digitalization

 

The role:

The Head of business Finance Excellence and digitalization head will lead the optimization, modernization and digitalization of the most critical processes of SI BP AM, building and maintaining trustful relationships with key stakeholders in the worldwide matrix organization.

As such, the role is a key contributor to execute the long-term strategy of SI BP AM

This position is in Buffalo Grove, IL USA and reports to the Building Product, Head of Finance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Shape and lead the execution of the Digital Transformation roadmap, focusing on main critical processes in all business areas within SI BP Americas.

Identify and quantify improvement opportunities, collaborate with Process Owners to optimize workflows using structured methodologies, drive improvement initiatives and manage cross-functional projects to ensure the achievement of goals and vision related to Business Excellence

Define the digital tool landscape to provide financial transparency on business activities, insightful analyses and targets, predictions, or models on future business development. Incorporate modern technologies and processes to SI BP AM, as well as

Lead, motivate, coach and develop virtual teams of financial professionals to execute the process- and digital transformation to drive employee productivity and engagement. acting as a change agent to build a continuous improvement environment and culture.

Be a role model and change agent to facilitate and motivate the adoption and usage in daily operations

Actively support SI BP AM businesses in the identification and implementation of new business opportunities and business models leveraging technology and finance capabilities.

Serve as close Advisor to the SI BP Head of Finance, in all questions related to digitalization, process excellence, financial performance and asset optimization

Drive alignment on processes, strategy and communication related to Business Excellence for the BP AM to develop short and long-term process and digitalization strategies, that

Support BP AM Finance organization in reaching objectives by deploying appropriate digital tools and ensuring efficient processes.

Display agility and resilience to effectively lead a team within a changing environment, always looking for improved team dynamics, cost savings, and innovative approaches to leading a sophisticated business.

 Drive innovation within the finance function.   

Act as communication ambassador to foster the Digital Culture in the Finance organization and coordinate Best Practice Sharing

Build and maintain the ecosystem with partners within and outside of Siemens.

Qualifications

Bachelor or equivalent international degree, MBA is a plus.

10+ years working experience in the finance environment

At least 5 years experience in managing complex cross-functional projects, previous team management experience is a plus

Experience in the development and implementation of digitalization strategy

Experience with financial controlling and reporting

Proven ability in identification and development of digital business opportunities alongside with emerging technology trends

Experienced in variety of modern digital tools including rollout and adoption within finance function (e.g., robotics, workflow automation with KNIME/Alteryx, visualization with Tableau, data analytics and machine learning application)

Experience in implementing end-to-end process improvement projects.

You have high practical process improvement and finance digitalization competence demonstrated by concrete achievements

You have excellent communication skills and are business fluent in English, German is a plus.

Experience in working in multicultural teams and in an international environment

You have excellent presentation skills and have gathered experience in the preparation, execution, and moderation of process improvement workshops

You have innovator and entrepreneurial mindset
