We are looking for a Presales Solution Consultant based in Milan area, to be part of the Motion Control business unit reporting directly to the Head of Sales. 
 
What will be your main challenges? 
Develop Digital Transformation Business at Machine Tools Builders, creating new business pipeline through the development of long-term relationships with customers.
Drive sales opportunities, advising customers, leveraging innovation, focusing on value selling of Machine Tool digitalization portfolio, preparing detailed solution, product demonstrations or proof of concepts. 
Collect and aggregates key strategic information (competitor product analyses, latest technologies, market development, portfolio gaps, demand and supply conditions, etc.) across the regional sales force, to identify and implement specific go-to-market initiatives. 
Available to support the installation and post-sales when needed to ensure the internal transfer of know-how. Act as first level of escalation for business cases and technical issues, being customer’s advocate with colleagues in the region and headquarter. 
You will work intensively in the region go to market process supporting product management, leading requirements management, training of sales colleagues and marketing activities.
Knowledge of machine tools systems and the associated use cases are an advantage.
 
What do I bring with me? 
• Engineering background, Mechanical Engineering, Computer science or equivalent technical training 
• Pre-sales software experience ("value-based", "consultative-selling") or similar roles (business development, technical promotion), in industrial digitalization and automation or Machine Tools 
• Experience in software selection / implementation projects and good knowledge of business models, requirements and working methods in manufacturing industries regarding digitization 
• Very good written and spoken Italian and English (French or Spanish are a plus) 
• Customer orientation and persuasiveness (ability to analyze, motivate, learn and communicate technical and organizational needs)
• Strong orientation to reach targets, proactive, autonomous in owned tasks, enabler of collaboration across teams. 
• Experience working on Cloud IoT platforms (SaaS, PaaS) 
• Proficient understanding of web applications 
• Commercially minded, ability to accelerate sales cycles, strong negotiating skills, conflict management skills, and sense of accountability 
• Flexible operational readiness and willingness to travel.
