This position includes developing prototypes, researching technologies, and developing applications enabling the delivery of Siemens NX desktop and cloud products. You will be part of a highly innovative, fast-paced development team delivering high-performance and powerful capabilities for the NX Model Based Definition (MBD) Application. As a member of an Agile Scrum Team, you will be a key technical resource expected to design, develop, and test solutions. You will actively participate in backlog planning, sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint reviews. As a member of a self-directed team, you may also take on roles in solution architecting, test framework design, dev ops, or even Scrum Master… depending on the team needs and your ability to contribute.
The software engineer filling this position will be responsible for designing, specifying, reviewing, developing, debugging, and supporting innovative and diverse features for the NX MBD software. Challenges will include high-performance data-structures, multi-platform support, and object-oriented design of C++ software. You will also be contributing to the development of cloud native products based on a state of art technology stack. You will collaborate with quality assurance, marketing, technical publications, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule. You will participate in scheduling and estimation of tasks and assist in defining and developing software development best practices.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or equivalent
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Strong analysis, design, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced, Agile development environment

- Experience with cloud computing software preferred
- Experience with one or more of the following
