Area Sales Manager Healthcare sector (Wallonia/Brussels)

As Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the field of Diagnostic Imaging & Advanced Therapy, you are responsible for the development of the customer base in the hospitals that are attributed to the sales regions in Wallonia and in Brussels. You build customer relationships and drive sales actions to achieve the company’s sales targets. You work closely together with the Portfolio Solution Managers (PSM) on sales, marketing, and communication programs towards the targeted customers. You are the SPOC of your customers, and you align the different sales actions in the field in close collaboration with the PSM team, the application and education specialists, project managers, and the customer service organization.

You cover the products in Diagnostic Imaging & Advanced Therapy (fixed C-arms), and specific IT products linked to the modalities. You support the other sales departments as AT Mobile C-arms and D&A (Digital and Automation) in identifying leads, this based on your customer interactions, the customer needs and the information you hear in the market.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You drive the sales process in the field of Diagnostic Imaging and Advanced Therapy, from prospection to the signature of the contract. Your customers are hospitals located in Wallonia and Brussels (Group of private, public and university institutions) and private radiology institutions.

  • You have a great understanding of the customer needs, pain points and expectations and you collaborate with the different involved internal to translate them into a tailored customer solution.
  • You organize personalized customer presentations in collaboration with the focusing on the customer’s needs and pain points.
  • As process driver you coordinate the sales process effectively and involve the necessary stakeholders on the road to success.

  • You visit competitive prospects to identify future opportunities as well as your key customers to measure the satisfaction rate and assure retention in the future. You follow up the projects after implementation and if needed, you take the necessary actions with the objective to increase customer satisfaction.

  • You implement different strategies (Go-2-Market, Marketing,…) for current and future products.

  • You organize customer presentations in collaboration with the PSM’s to personalize the presentation on the customer’s needs and pain points, this in line with the sales strategy to maximize success.

  • You pro-actively identify upcoming tenders. You manage the tender process by involving the right internal stakeholders, while making sure they have the necessary information to support the tender.

  • You are responsible for maintaining a high-quality data level in the CRM system, based on corporate guidelines and KPI’s.

  • You are present in local workshops, customer events (national and international) to meet and discuss with customers.

Your Profile & Experience:

  • You hold a Bachelor/Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, Medical Technology or equivalent in a relevant life science subject.

  • You have minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales in the Healthcare sector in related business or equivalent experience with preference in medical imaging.

  • You have a go getter mentality and are driven by success while keeping customer focused and having a great understanding of patient care.

  • You are triggered by building effective business relationships (internal & external) and you like to take initiative and ownership.

  • You are a hands-on team player with an open and flexible mentality, open for change in a dynamic environment. 
  • You are familiar with MS Office tools and have a basic understanding of how a CRM works and is organized.
  • You have a perfect knowledge of French, but also English, which is essential for contacts with the headquarters, as well as for training and seminars abroad. Knowledge of Dutch is an additional asset for internal contacts within the company in Belgium.
