Siemens EDA has an opportunity for a Product Engineer to be part of an extended international Product Management team working with Tessent product team. Tessent is the market and technology leader of automated tools for insertion of semiconductor design-for-test (DFT) structures, automatic test pattern generation (ATPG), embedded deterministic test (EDT), diagnosis-driven yield analysis (DDYA), and hierarchical SoC DFT solutions such as Streaming Scan Network (SSN). This position presents a great opportunity to stay involved technically while getting exposure to technical marketing and interacting with sales.
This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.

Our software tools span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design & manufacturing solutions, cable harness design tools, and embedded software.
You will assist engineers to develop or enhance computer-aided engineering design or manufacturing processes for a customer. Provide business and technical feedback to software and hardware vendors. Use data exchange methodologies to facilitate effective data sharing between dissimilar systems or applications that span across engineering disciplines. Provide technical guidance to customer engineers in the application of design techniques and system procedures related to computer-aided engineering software. Work with close Supervision. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Define and characterize new product capabilities needed to meet customer requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Tessent engineering to prototype, evaluate, and test new DFT products and features in context of complex IC design flows.
• Lead beta programs and support beta partners.
• Drive product adoption.
• Create and deliver in-depth technical presentations, develop training material, white papers, contributed articles, and application notes.
• Work with customers as well as Siemens EDA stakeholders such as regional application engineers, global support engineers, and marketing.
• Work through complex technical issues and independently create solutions and new methodologies.
• Explain complex principles in simple terms to broad audiences.
• Some travel, domestic and international.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.
• Proficiency in Tcl or other scripting languages (JavaScript, Perl, Python, etc.)
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Strong desire to create high quality solutions
• Self-motivated and able to work constructively and productively on a team, as well as independently, is essential
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Knowledge of IC design trends and emerging requirements.
• Work location is Wilsonville, OR.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Experience in DFT for complex ASICs / SOCs, including some of the following areas: Automatic test pattern generation (ATPG), internal scan, embedded compression (EDT), logic built-in self-test (LBIST), IEEE 1687 IJTAG, hierarchical DFT implementation.
• Exposure to one or more adjacent IC disciplines such as the following a plus:
o RTL coding and verification using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL.
o Synthesis and timing analysis.
o Place and route.
o Failure diagnosis.
o ATE use / test program development.
• Exhibit a customer-oriented attitude and be able to work effectively in a world-wide, multi-site development environment.
• Possess a positive, can-do demeanor and capable of balancing multiple projects effectively and simultaneously.
