Branch Service Sales Manager

Job Description

Siemens Smart Infrastructure are looking for a Branch Service Sales Manager to manage, drive and monitor the achievement of the agreed sales and growth targets of the sales team (Customer Relationship & Inside Sales Managers).

You will manage all financial and non-financial KPIs: Incoming orders, sales, sales margins, forecasts, advance payments, business mix, sales funnel quality, data quality, team activities, net promoter score.

The role is based in the South Branch (Farnborough) and reports to the South Branch Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the sales budgets for the sales team, systematically driving and monitoring the performance and success of the sales team
  • Drive and leverage a systematic data driven sales management process ensuring consistent CRM stewardship throughout
  • Lead by example to motivate and inspire the team and generate a consistently superior customer experience
  • Systematically manage competences to ensure the sales force meets the changing business, market and customer requirements
  • Coach to the unique learning and motivational drivers of individuals, teams and on opportunities
  • Support sales representatives directly during customer visits and negotiations
  • Establish and intensify business relationships with decision-makers and influencers at all management levels, opening doors for bid teams and responsibility until the contract is signed
  • Definition of strategic acquisition targets; definition of must-win projects, "cracking" strategic competitor customers
  • Act as the first escalation instance for corresponding cases and topics
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strong relationships and availability of resources
  • Systematic processing of the installed base (migration, contracts, service)
  • Preparation of the required sales concepts, arguments and sales documents for the various target groups
  • Supports business development with strategic key customers as / when necessary
  • Recruit and retain top talent ensuring succession planning and performance management as required
  • Ensure handover processes from Sales to Solutions and Service
  • Collaboration and active participation in sales leadership communities, "best practice sharing" and support of cooperation and communication between the Region, Zone and Area

What Skills and Experience you will bring to the role?

·       Proven track record of achieving business success as a sales manager, management experience of a number of employees (direct reports)

·       Experience in the complexity of matrix structures, experience in leading and membership of virtual teams

·       Market and customer portfolio experience

·       Expert knowledge of sales processes and experience in implementing a competitive sales strategy

·       A network of contacts and relationships in UK construction market such as M&E Consultant, Main and M&E Contractors, Vertical Markets, End Users, Decision Makers & Influencers

·       Confident, professional and customer-oriented appearance at all levels of the hierarchy

·       Ability to build and maintain networks

·       Ability to motivate & self-motivation, endurance and perseverance as well as high social and social media competence and enthusiasm

·       Distinct personal and temporal flexibility and commitment

·       Technical or commercial studies or a comparable education and several years of professional experience in sales and sales management with proven success

·       Knowledge of IT systems, including CRM (Salesforce), MS Office products, Social Media

·       In-depth knowledge / training of sales methods including value selling

·       Technical affinity and experience in project management are an advantage

·       Drive and determination to achieve results

·       Experience with financing models

·       Able to travel across the UK to customer sites or HQ locations as required
