The Digital Industry Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services in order to support manufacturing companies worldwide in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of their manufacturing processes and reducing the time to market of their products – be it the automotive or aerospace industry, mechanical engineering or other interesting sectors.

Your mission in new role:

Work in a new Agile development team, to define and deliver HMI product from a customer and market requirement point of view - regarding content prioritization and quality through the whole product lifecycle from the definition to the phase-out. You are the owner of our fascinating “new window” for the micro-automation Eco system between human and machine.

Your new role – Challenging and future oriented

Analyzes product requirements of the Chinese market and competitors on portfolio level incl. technical requirements, builds up a deep understanding of the needs of automation product market (applications), derives a product portfolio based on fact-based analysis and proposes Digital Industries Factory Automation product management appropriate concepts.

Controls and coaches the product lifecycle process for the localized products and takes part in product definition process / review process for new worldwide product developments to make the products successful in the Chinese market.

Preparing and follows up production forecast, controls the ramp up phase and quality for localized products.

Analyzes preconditions of a multiple line portfolio including market segment differentiation and product portfolio divergence, proposes related product line concepts and business models along the whole value chain in accordance with the HQ strategies.

Analyzes innovation & technology trends in the Chinese market, derives a strategic roadmap of automation innovations in emerging markets to contribute insights to the FA innovation and product roadmap.

Communicates with central SLC functions, manages contacts with customers and other contacts etc., aligns and coordinates all activities with DI FA HQ department "Product Portfolio Management" (Reporting Function).

Your Qualifications – solid and appropriate

Expected education is Master in Automation field, Industry

Rich knowledge of responsible SIEMENS or competitors corresponding products

>5 years working experience in automation

Previous Job position in Product Management, Research and development or other technical departments.

Solid technical background and best with hand-on engineering experience with HMI or PLC Products

Ability for structured & analytic approach to analyze status, propose measures, implement and follow-up

Good communication skills internally and externally, and good ability to listen

Good presentation skills to present in front of technical and management audience

Quick learner and with good business sense

Team work spirit

High proficiency English is a must
