Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

As our Regional Sales Manager (f/m/d) for Europe, you will drive our market gains for Electrical and Hybrid (Dual-Mode) locomotives with particular focus on our markets in Southern Europe (i.e. Italy and Turkey). You will be accountable for engaging and positioning our locomotive product range with customers to secure key project wins.

  • You will lead customer acquisition, offer preparation and negotiation activities for your region.
  • In addition, you will drive market development to identify, influence and generate customer needs and set up business cases.
  • You will guide and support our regional sales forces through joint acquisition initiatives, target agreements and competency development.
  • Furthermore, you will develop and evolve unique selling points for our portfolio (including the deployment of Smart Assets, financing options, new business models and additional value generating services).
  • You will provide the competitive edge and a green footprint to our customers leveraging digital technologies based on Siemens Xcelerator and Railigent in close cooperation with our Customer Service team for Locomotives.
  • As an expert (f/m/d) of your field, you gather relevant market and infrastructure data / intelligence to define product improvements and advise our top management.
 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate

  • You hold an academic degree with a strong technology focus: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering or similar.
  • Additionally, you have many years of experience in the railway industry (Project management, Engineering, Commissioning), with advanced knowledge in Rolling Stock technology and markets. You are very good at managing project.
  • Therefore, you have solid understanding of digital technologies & services to be applied in our locomotive offers and are proficient in contract management and negotiating deals.
  • You can develop and execute strategies and have an entrepreneurial mindset paired with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are dedicated and creative in consultative and value selling of products and solutions and have strong listening skills.
  • Fluency in English is key; Italian is strongly advised for accounts in Italy, any other additional language is helpful.
