Then come and join our global team as PhD Student  (fm/d) to explore Wireless Communications in the area of Computed Tomography.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will work in publicly funded research project jointly e.g. with TU Dresden and other academic institutions
  • You are involved in setting up a measurement system in a CT scanner
  • You will conduct measurements
  • You will create channel models
  • You will characterize the wireless channel conditions within a quickly rotating CT scanner and assess the suitability for data transfer at up to 200GBit/s

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a master's or diploma degree in electrical engineering or equivalent according e.g. to the doctoral regulations of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at TU Dresden
  • You already have knowledge Office365 applications
  • You have initial experience in operating electronics measuring equipment and in laboratory work
  • You have experience in the evaluation of test results using e.g. Matlab or Python


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have a very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
  • You are interested in wireless communication and scientific work
  • You show interest in topics like radio systems, antennas, and high frequencies
