Head of Marketing (APAC)

Job Description

Given the high potential growth within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, your main responsibility is defining and coordinating our marketing strategy, its execution and reporting and supporting our regional team in creating a greater impact within the market. The defined strategy is to be aligned with the business goals in partnership with key business stakeholders across Sales, Countries and Portfolio and focuses on customer centricity and sales enablement. Together with a defined communications approach, you will also oversee and govern communications initiatives. Overall, you will lead Marketing (70%) and Communications (30%) success within the APAC region.

 

Your role:

  • Plan and implement regional marketing plans to drive brand awareness, thought leadership, lead & demand generation and deepening existing client relationships to support business growth objectives
  • Help to ensure proper integration and alignment of all marketing, communications, and transformation activities, whether by customer verticals, portfolio or geography, and reinforced by internal and external insights
  • Collaborate to identify country business priorities with local stakeholders and define the appropriate marketing strategy and direction
  • Provide strategic marketing advice to senior leaders across the business to help achieve the objectives of their projects and programs
  • Participate actively in global calls, forums and projects and be the 'Voice of the Region'
  • Lead global programs roll-out in APAC Region to support regional business objectives
  • Identify avenues for customer interactions through customer-relationship programs and elevate our market presence at external events, expos and conventions
  • Develop content for sales and branding, actively with HQ, based on global and corporate messaging
  • Drive employee engagement and internal communication initiatives including monthly newsletter, competency trainings and internal events

 

What do you need to qualify for the job?

  • 7-10 years of experience in planning, or executing marketing campaigns with strong technical marketing expertise in a B2B environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, mass communications or other advertising subjects preferred
  • Rich experience in managing and influencing in a multicultural, matrix organization or in decentralized global team with respect for time-zone and cultural differences is preferrable
  • Be a strong team player with faithful character, that balances leading and contributing; with ability to earn trust, collaborate and influence a wide range of stakeholders, up to C-level leadership
  • Be hands-on, detail-oriented, self-organized, and proactive in coordinating and leading 'integrated Marketing & Communications' activities from every angle to achieve maximum results for the region
  • Able to think strategically, and execute tactically
  • Be adaptable, quick to learn, resourceful and resilient in time-pressured situations
  • Be result-oriented and comfortable with quantifying outcome and impact
  • Be a strategic B2B Marketeer with superior communication and influencing skills – ability to clearly articulate vision, strategy and plans to all levels of the firm
  • Have strong knowledge and abilities to use multiple platforms and channels (including digital) for a range of audiences
