The core business of Siemens Mobility includes rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services.

The Information Technology (IT) department has the global responsibility for the internal IT of Siemens Mobility. Its goal is to provide a robust and efficient IT landscape derived from business and market demands.

What will be your role?

  • Support the service of the cross-plant warehouse management system.
  • You will be the central contact person for external IT system suppliers as well as for the plant managers and will coordinate the ongoing service as well as new requirements.
  • To be significantly involved in the conceptual set-up for new warehouse structures in active plants or new plants and integrate this into the existing systems.
  • The implementation in customizing including a development specification and its acceptance is also part of your tasks.
  • Drive the strategic further development of the system landscape of the warehouse management systems.
  • To develop solutions in cooperation with your interface partners and implement them independently, depending on your responsibilities.
  • Manage topics independently and lead projects or sub-projects.
 

What do you need to become a part of our team?

  • Finished studies with a focus on logistics or industrial engineering or long-term professional experience.
  • Communicative German and English.
  • SAP knowledge in SAP-EWM / MM-IM, advantage is knowledge of SAP-PP and -WM and of LogoS software.
  • Acquired process and customizing knowledge of WMS systems.
  • Experience in project management and knowledge of warehouse and production logistics processes.
  • Willingness to travel.
