Job Description

Position Overview

  • IT Architect & Service Integrators role for IT AM Portfolio Management (portfolios inclusive of application services and project/programs) is key in defining portfolio solutions, and portfolio reviews of IT applications services and projects. This role is key during service integration and lifecycle management of applications, services, and projects as part of Portfolio Management
  • Perform Solu.tion Architect and Service Integrator role for integrating SAP and non-SAP applications or new services as part of Application, Service and Project Portfolio Management for region Americas
  • Candidate would utilize his in dept knowledge of Siemens proprietary solutions and processes to assume a functional lead role of application and service life cycle management.
  • Consult on application and service integration topics, IT service definitions, set service requirements regards performance, compliance and security requirements, provider performance management and contract management
  • Define and coach on portfolio elements, portfolio processes, conduct portfolio reviews with service and project owners, manage stakeholder expectations and communications.
  • Engaged in consulting activities, would help gather requirements for portfolio element setup, creating / updating functional or technical specifications for portfolio elements, validates and aligns requirements, coaches on processes, conduct portfolio reviews, support manage application lifecycle and guide other application members.
  • Provide technical (functional) expertise for provider contract terms setup or defining portfolio processes for integrations of new application, customer applications or services within ecosystem per the agreed Service Level Agreements with business.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage application service or project portfolio for region Americas based on Siemens norms and governance requirement, ensure IT tool updates e.g., UPM-X, ITBM etc. per business demands while still staying within guidelines,
  • Consults IT Business partners, stakeholders and members, flow charts end-to-end portfolio processes and propose optimize process models for IT setup of processes or support enhancing IT operational process efficiencies.
  • Prepare portfolio optimization case or application innovation use case and seek business buy-in for the IT enhancements.
  • Report to the chapter manager for all personal development, growth any other personal matters.
  • Works in an agile environment supporting multiple agile team and projects guiding their expertise and IT partners on portfolio management processes.
  • Works with the providers to organize and manage reviews, work on operational excellence and quality topics, contracts, and provider management topics
  • Aligns the deliverables with respective service owners, IT stakeholders and partners.
  • Solicits estimates when needed e.g., for new application or service integration during the pre-sale’s activities
  • The role is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports.
  • Works closely with other service owners, architects to define optimal service solution and support portfolio development.
  • Coaches on IT portfolio processes and tool updates, and support for any cybersecurity or system audit activities.

Responsibilities

    • Portfolio management and coaching on portfolio elements, services, IT processes and tools.
    • Solution evaluation, determining portfolio integration or application retirement effort estimates based on requirements, performing risk analysis for the provided solution.
    • Quality of updates to IT system and portfolio management tools such as UPM-X, ITBM etc.
    • Process controls per cyber security and IT system audit norms. He/she support coordinate implementing mitigating action or audit finding where applicable in respective areas from portfolio perspective. Respective service owners are accountable for executing the actual change.
    • Provides solution delivery related inputs to service owners, architects, IT partners and IT management
    • Guidance to the team regards to quality commitments to meet objective.
    • Lead or be part of the implementation team for application technical innovation case / digitization case from application life cycle management perspective or Project Manage such technical projects to deliver them per agreed plan and budget.
    • Work with key stakeholders to provide a holistic view of current application services used and projects at hand.
    • Aligning Portfolio processes with global governance teams.
    • Ensures solutions provided are fully integrated and works effectively and efficiently.
    • Provides guidance to harmonize activities across Americas region using Siemens global solutions, procedures, and tools.
    • Provides expertise on Siemens portfolio design standards and norms and ensure implementations are adhering to norms and guidelines within region Americas
    • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews with stakeholder and highlight areas needing attention to respective owners and IT management.
    • Portfolio review and provide forward looking recommendations to ensure we are utilizing resources effectively and efficiently to drive increased profitability for business and excellent customer service.
    • IT solutions and processes coaching and marketing within and outside the region, including presentation of concepts to key stakeholders and executives.
    • Advocate operational excellence and quality aspects in portfolio innovation process
    • Maintain awareness of trends and technologies.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    • Bachelor in Computer Science, System or Data Analyst or equivalent field
    • Over 10 years’ experience working with applications and project portfolio management and IT process environment areas.
    • 15% Travel
    • IT project or service management and / or portfolio management, analytical skills, good communicator
    • Hybrid Office Attendance to follow global guidelines.( i.e. 2 to 3 on site in the office)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    • Masters
    • Over 10 years’ experience working in Siemens IT working with proprietary knowledge on Siemens templates, tools, and processes
    • Candidate with additional PMP/PGMP or ITIL Service Manager certifications would be preferred
    • Candidate with good analytical skills would be preferred.
    • Candidate with good English communication skills
    • SAP / Non SAP applications portfolio management
