U.S. Segment Head – Building Products – Connected Devices

What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: 

This person will lead the entire Connected Devices Business Segment for Building Products comprised of a large and growing business with HVAC, lighting and IoT devices – from sensors and thermostats to KNX room controls and valves, dampers & actuators. 

The Challenge 

To drive profitable growth above the levels of our key competitors and shape the future of connected and IoT devices for buildings in Smart Infrastructure. 


  • Providing technical expertise and strategy for our products business within the US North American market. Being responsible for the full portfolio of products and achieving the goals of the business.
  • Set vision and strategy, define targets for related BU functions, take overall responsibility for business results and R&D budget of assigned Business Segment and ensure continuous growth
  • Work closely with global BP Leadership and relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment of overall North America strategy to global strategy
  • Lead the Product Management team with employees in locations across the U.S. driving growth and innovation
  • Actively drive successful transformation of the portfolio, business model and go-to-market in view of market and digitalization opportunities
  • Drive & facilitate continuous efforts to adapt the way-of-working within the segment to ensure customer-orientation, speed, and efficiency
  • Collaborate very closely with the Business Unit CEO and your peers on the BP Americas Leadership Team to develop the portfolio and business to the next level
  • Clearly communicate the segment vision, value proposition and key differentiators to customers and channels – and enable your team to do so. We have an amazing product portfolio – your leadership will help us penetrate the U.S. markets successfully
  • Mentoring and elevating performance of direct reports by instilling Siemens company values through goal setting and providing timely feedback.
  • As a leader, you will listen, empower your teams to contribute, foster collaboration and focus on the customer


  • Academic degree in engineering, business, or other related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant field industry/technical field. IoT experience is a definite plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading high performing teams; experience managing other people managers
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture and environment, creating a climate for success and innovation
  • High level of communications skills with ability to collaborate and communicate with employees and other team members including at a senior management level
  • Proven, successful track record in Building Technology related industries / markets
  • Strong experience in growing revenue and building new markets
  • Knowledge and experience working in agile product development processes
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, ability to build & develop an impactful, engaged and customer focused global organization
  • Ability to lead large teams with compassion. Proven ability in developing key talents and their leadership capabilities
  • In addition, your high level of customer focus, strategic-innovative mentality paired with strong results orientation empower you as an overall successful Business Manager*
