Choose the best place to work – In alignment with your manager, you are welcome to work remotely (within Germany) up to 60%.

This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • In your role, you will shape and define the photon-counting technology for future CT generations
  • You will develop novel methods, models, and circuit architectures which will optimize the performance of our x-ray detectors
  • Your technical expertise in circuit design, visionary ideas, and team skills enables you to drive an external design team to create innovative designs which are applicable to our market application
  • You will support the technology from its initially design specification, production ramp-up, through to expert support during its lifetime.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a PhD in physics, electronics, or a related discipline. Alternatively, you have advanced qualifications plus several years of professional experience
  • You have several years of experience with the architecture and design of ionizing radiation detector systems. Additional you have experience in supporting the production of ASICs at an industrial scale
  • Your expert knowledge includes detector physics and microelectronics, ideally with an understanding of photon-counting X-ray imaging. This is illustrated by your successful track record of relevant publications and/or patent applications
  • Experience in several of the following areas is desirable:
    • Medical device development
    • Simulation of physical and electronic systems
    • Requirement engineering
    • Workflows in digital and mixed-signal ASIC design
    • Design-for-test engineering, wafer test optimization, calibration design
    • Performance optimization and thermal design
    • Semiconductor packaging and assembly technologies
    • Analysis, verification and yield optimization
    • Characterization and fault analysis of complex sensor systems
