This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead/participate in benefit/M&A projects as necessary; develop/maintain related tools to support M&A activity
  • Lead projects related to benefits or benefits administration (e.g. New SPDs, HRIS implementation)
  • Share responsibility and facilitate benefit plan operational activities (e.g. vendor payments, reconciliations, benefit escalations etc)
  • Support the further development of the Healthineers US benefit plans and programs
  • Research, monitor and operationalize benefit requirements (e.g. statutory requirements)
  • Develop benefit process/procedure maps
  • Develop employee/HR toolkits related to benefit plans/programs
  • Utilize technology to streamline/simplify processes to enhance employee/user experiences
  • Run reports as needed to monitor escalation trends
  • Run reports as requested from Fusion and/or Workday

  • Ability to offer data driven/researched based solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of health, group benefits, defined benefit, defined contribution, nonqualified plans, policies/programs etc.
  • Understanding of benefit laws and regulations:  ERISA, 409A, Benefit Plan Reporting/Filing Requirements, etc.
  • Highly organized
  • Demonstrated skills in vendor management
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of with benefit payroll concepts, HRIS systems
  • Creative problem solver
  • A self-starter able to shift directions quickly when priorities change and bring other teams along smoothly and effectively

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • 5-8+ years of experience in US employee benefits administration, management and/or operations necessary and similar knowledge for Canada a plus
  • Strong project management skills and solid experience in leading project-based work
  • Strong written communication skills especially in developing benefits-related communications
  • CEBS, CBP or similar certification preferred
