Whether in renewable energies, transportation, agriculture technology or healthcare, infrastructure projects and investments often require substantial amounts of financing. Siemens Financial Services Equity Finance (SFS EQ) offers a broad variety of equity financing solutions to make these projects happen, both for the customer and the involved Siemens Operating and Strategic companies. SFS EQ takes an active owner role by providing up to 50% of the required equity of a project or investment over the lifetime (development, construction, operation).

As a member of the Investment and Portfolio Review team (f/m/d) you will join a newly formed team of investment professionals that facilitates investment decision-making and supports SFS EQ in achieving our high-reaching portfolio goals. 
The responsibilities of the Investment & Portfolio Review team include engaging with transaction teams, regional management, SFS EQ management, as well as with stakeholders outside SFS EQ including specialists and SFS decision-making bodies.

As a Senior Analyst IPR (f/m/d) you
  • contribute to the balance of risk/return profiles across all regions by sharing experiences, calibrating overriding assumptions and closely supporting the transaction teams and the risk organization in the approval process 
  • help to ensure quality assurance through plausibility checks and intensive review of the assumptions made and financial model content 
  • support in coordinating our approval process on the EQ side and make recommendations on the implementation of the investment to the Advisory Board
  • drive the continuous improvement of processes, tools and procedures across regions and promote and formalize the overall exchange of experience
  • carry out the continuous monitoring of the portfolio according to standardized criteria
  • make strategic recommendations for portfolio assets based on a cross-regional approach
  • lead standardized reviews in the approval process on the SFS EQ transaction team's evaluations and also global portfolio reviews
  • have the responsibility to interact with specialist functions, management and other stakeholders
What you need to make real what matters.
  • You have a university degree in Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification
  • You have already been actively involved in investment processes and ideally bring investment expertise in equity and/or debt 
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Finance or Private Equity
  • You have knowledge of the due diligence environment and valuation of investments as well as experience in one of the core industries of Siemens AG or SFS investments
  • Ideally, you already have first practical experience of market and competitive developments in SFS EQ's focus industries
  • Preferably you have a very good knowledge of the financial services industry and the captive finance business, esp. about the business and the products & solutions
  • Experience in cooperating with cross-national teams and projects is preferred
  • Work experience abroad (e.g English-speaking or Asian countries) is a plus
  • You are enthusiastic about identifying and implementing relevant measures to improve/promote investment assessments
  • Very good English skills, a collaborative working style and good communication skills complete your profile
