Rotor Assembly Team Lead, Manufacturing

Job Description

Position Overview: 

The Rotor Assembly Shop Head leads and manages the day-to-day Assembly operations. Responsible for overall Rotor shop management and production scheduling as well as leading the existing team of Supervisors & Technicians on shop floor.

Work Experience: 

10 to 15 Years

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Responsible for overall management of production activities and achieving production targets with required capabilities, yield and lead time.
• Optimizes the Rotor assembly operations in terms of consistent quality and productivity.
• Responsible for development and implementation of appropriate cost control and cost reduction initiatives within responsible functions.
• Assists in the design and development of fixtures, special tools and other related devices for production which align with the manufacturing processes and plans in a collaborative environment with engineering and production
• Responsible for department planning and coordination of scheduling.
• Responsible for ensuring strict adherence of all company manufacturing standards/methods and policies.
• Responsible for development, justification, and implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives in quality, productivity, efficiency, capacity, and safety.
• Implements and develops manufacturing processes and departmental SOPs.
• Practices and Maintains 5S standards in the workplace.
• Manages staff selection, performance, development, and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• BE Mechanical / Production with 10 to 15 years of experience in the field of Rotor Assembly of Steam Turbines and its accessories
• Knowledge of tools and tackles required for Rotor assembly of Products.
• Must possess recognizable and demonstrable leadership skills, exercise good judgment, be well organized, and have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal).
• Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Windows and Office software applications
• Must be good in handling manpower, guiding them, identifying training needs and development of the blue collars on shop.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
