This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, with a well-established knowledge of building and managing a multi-faceted comprehensive equipment maintenance program in a world class Organization.                                

As the Manufacturing Service Manager, you will be responsible:

  • Development of a maintenance strategy for the manufacturing equipment in the PETNET network across all platforms, including cyclotrons, chemistry modules and analytical equipment.

·         Development and management of a comprehensive and actionable PETNET equipment maintenance program and plan, including defining key drivers of the program/plan. The role requires to systematically define, design, develop, and refine an asset maintenance plan that includes preventative and predictive methodologies across all manufacturing equipment platforms.

  • Leading and effectively communicating the PETNET equipment maintenance strategy and plan across all departments in the Organization.

·         Developing and managing the manufacturing and analytical equipment maintenance budget for the Org (including spare part utilization and labor utilization costs), all in support of corporate safety, productivity measures, and new business development strategies.

  • Manufacturing and analytical equipment uptime across the network and various equipment platforms.
  • Ensuring maintenance operational requirements completed by scheduling and assigning employees; follows up on work results, adjust schedules to accommodate workload and operational needs across the PETNET network.
  • Managing 3rd party vendor contracts and performance.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive equipment lists across all sites and platforms.
  • Creating dashboards to communicate uptime trends, positive or negative impact on the business, maintenance compliance and other key drivers of the program.
  • Driving process and equipment improvements from vendors such as Siemens, Agilent, Thermo, etc (other 3rd party vendors).

·         Managing a team of Regional Manufacturing Service Technicians (RMST) who are directly responsible for all regional maintenance and oversight activities related to PETNET manufacturing equipment.

·         Supporting the RMST team and the PETNET sites by selecting, training, and developing employees in the RMST group and newly hired PETNET Service Technicians. 

·         Managing for all aspects of the RMST staff, including performance management and the development of internal and external resources and capabilities to drive the improvement of asset reliability and the performance of the maintenance team.

  • Identifying current and future maintenance requirements by establishing rapport with management, engineering, and manufacturing personnel to fully understand the business needs and requirements.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

·         Strong leadership and management skills.

·         10+ plus years in a supervisory experience in a maintenance setting.

·         Experience developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program for various types of equipment.

·         Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement solutions.

·         Effectively work with 3rd party vendors and internal resources to resolve systemic equipment issues.

·         Effective time management required to meet dynamic goals and deadlines.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Proven in leading operational excellence through applying behavior-based management.

·         Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic.

·         Ability to read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees.

  • Ability to proactively solve problems and ability to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Ability to offer guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end of life (EOL) issues using ROI and other analytical techniques.

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:

·         Working knowledge of the PET radioisotope manufacturing workflow (preferred).

·         Analytical Chemistry Equipment and Processes (HPLC, GC, TLC) experience (preferred).

·         Bachelors or Associates Degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering or related field.

·         Six Sigma Training (preferred).

·         Experience with Microsoft Office software suite.
