CP&O Team Business Analyst

Job Description

The Content Production & Optimization team collaborates with product managers and other business partners across Siemens Digital Industries Software to create and optimize online content, including content strategy, SEO keyword research and on-page optimization. We are responsible for the hands-on creation of web pages based on the content provided to us by the business, as well as training business partners to use our self-service web CMS tools (including Tridion XPM and Contentful). The CP&O team also works closely with the Customer Experience and Development teams to create and launch new sites and experiences, consulting with them on requirements for SEO and Content Strategy best practices.

Our team receives work via a JIRA Service Desk and manages work using a Kanban Board. As the CP&O Business Analyst, you will be responsible for prioritizing the work in the CP&O team backlog and to ensure timely completion according to business requirements. You will be responsible for consulting with Senior Manager of the CP&O team, Product Managers and other business partners across Siemens Digital Industries Software to understand business priorities. Your goal is to be a trusted advisor to our business partners, able to identify solutions and find the most efficient path forward, and proactively managing expectations when scheduling issues arise. You will work closely with the CP&O team members to balance the workload and schedules against the capacity of the team. You will clearly articulate business needs to the team so that they can effectively complete the work according to expectations, and meet our team KPIs for external and internal customer satisfaction, fulfilling SLAs, and other goals set by the business.

• Review the Service Desk backlog, assess if work fulfills the “definition of ready” and communicate with requesters if more information is required.
• Ensure requested work meets web standards and best practices, as well as Siemens standards for branding and UX
• Clearly communicate business needs and prioritization of work to the team members
• Communicate with Development teams if the CP&O team or stakeholders require technical support for bugs or troubleshooting
• Provide requirements and prioritization to the Development team for self-service capabilities based on overall demand and frequency of the requests the team receives.
• Understand and track digital product roadmaps for major. strategic projects in order to manage the team capacity for work
• Work with the team to measure and refine the content production process, improve content quality and process predictability.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of web content management or similar experience
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn concepts quickly
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills
• Experience with various CMS platforms (SDL Tridion, Wordpress, Contentful, etc.)
• Working knowledge of web development best practices and experience working with Agile development teams
• Working knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices
• Basic knowledge of HTML code
• Deep knowledge of best practices for writing for the web, content strategy and SEO
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and adapt to changing business needs
• Experience with content translation and localization
• Experience working in a globally dispersed team

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Technical Writing, Information Management, Web Development, Marketing or related discipline.

The salary range for this position is $93,400 to $168,100 and this role is eligible to earn an additional 5-8% in variable pay. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
