This role will be based at our Manchester office, adapting to our hybrid working pattern with the option to work remotely for 2/3 days per week.
This role will Report to the Head of Engineering and liaise with the Operations Manager, Team Leaders, Technology Experts, Projects, Finance, Sales and Tendering as required.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages team, leads, motivates and develops dedicated employees.
- Plans and allocates resources
- Governance of Engineering output and quality (internally and externally)
- Supports the development of strategic outsource partners/suppliers and TPW
- Proactively drives value added measure
- Effectively identifies and recruits resource required for business needs
- Develops strategies for skills and competency requirements
- Build relationships with key technical customer stakeholders
- Promote Siemens Zero harm Safety Initiative and culture
What skills and experience you will bring to the role:
- Preferably a Degree/HND in electrical or electronic engineering, product design or engineering technology. Or, you may have gained your expertise through learning on the job. Either is fine.
- Experience of leading a highly skilled engineering team ideally in an electrical projects/switchgear delivery organisation
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of utility and industrial standards covering all market verticals
- Excellent understanding of problem solving and improvement techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft packages and preferably Autocad.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
