  • As Head of Business Development (f/m/d) you are responsible for shaping and developing the strategic direction of the Business Unit, in close cooperation with BU CEO and the entire leadership team
  • You are in charge of the BUs strategic planning process (incl. proactive market / competitor analysis and opportunity screening) and are responsible for special projects (e.g. development of new innovative business models). You develop and direct strategic go-to-market as well as digitalization initiatives. You represent the BU in Siemens- and SFS-wide strategic initiatives and M&A projects. In addition, you provide general management support to the BU CEO
  • You build and maintain relationships with all relevant external stakeholders, e.g. partners, co-investors, advisors, as well as internal stakeholders, e.g. Industrial Businesses, Strategy, Sustainability, Technology, as well as make sure that respective alignments are ensured
  • You drive and deliver effective people management within the teams via different methods/tools
  • You will take an active leadership role within the EQ leadership team to shape the future and collectively drive the transformation of SFS EQ
What you need to make real what matters.
  • Business administration degree (or similar) together with a profound understanding of equity investments, M&A, and other project finance structures. MBA is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with operational track record in financing / investment processes, ideally in a captive environment
  • Advanced knowledge in strategy/business development, strategic planning in the financial services industry
  • Advanced knowledge on Sustainability Business, i.e. Renewables, eMobility, Healthcare, Transportation, Sustainable food
  • Experienced in leading and participating in cross-functional teams and ability to mobilize resources, providing clear expectations amidst change
  • External market experience managing stakeholders, market trends, and commercial arrangements in fast developing market environments
  • Ability to highly motivate and lead a team to reach strong performance. Professional way of and experienced in communicating with international senior management. Leverage market/internal insights to influence stakeholders with compelling business cases
  • Demonstrable experience of working within an international, matrix environment as well as working with international, virtual teams
  • In addition to your native language, you are fluent in English and German
  • Please be aware that 10% travel is required for this role
