What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
Siemens Energy & Performance Services (EPS) is looking for the right candidate to manage a team of 4-6 people that conduct Quality activities for the EPS business including scheduling and commissioning.  The Operations Manager I will also conduct hands-on commissioning activities as needed to meet business goals. The right candidate can be located anywhere in the eastern US, within 50 miles of a major airport.

 Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the team through goal setting, performance monitoring, employee review meetings, and scheduling of formal training.
  • Prepare, direct, and supervise the development of commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.
  • Prepare, direct, and supervise cost estimates for commissioning and scheduling.
  • Plans projects in order to monitor and control the progress in the execution of work.
  • Prepare, direct, and supervise cost estimates for commissioning and scheduling.
  • Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed in accordance with the contract documents and customer expectations.
  • Plan and justify manpower, staffing requirements, tools, and other appropriate investments for effective and timely execution of work.
  • Maintain relationships between Operations and Sales teams so project details, changes, and plan discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delays throughout the estimating, bidding and operations phases of each project.
  • Support project productivity and profitability through cost-containment procedures and processes.
  • Maintain the relationships between engineering, and execution teams to minimize cost and delay throughout the estimating and execution phases of projects.
  • Acts as a mentor to Project managers to support them in learning and executing standard commissioning processes.
  • Identifies deviations from the processes and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Work as a liaison to EPS global operations, business excellence, growth, national operations, and competitiveness to assist in roll out of new processes to EPS field group.
  • Act as subject matter expert with Autodesk BIM360 in the EPS business and act as account manager for US business.

   Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience supervising teams; 2+ years preferred
  • BAS controls understanding preferred
  • Experience with project management preferred
  • Solid understanding of job financial reporting with ability to apply cost control measures for projects
  • Familiarity or experience with HVAC systems and/or building automation systems
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with Autodesk BIM360
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
