Within a project, the Installation Site Supervisor has the overall responsibility for the Site Safety and Compliance for all works performed on behalf of Siemens Mobility. This also includes the management of all site personnel, employees, and sub-contractors engaged by Siemens Mobility to ensure that all equipment is constructed and installed safely and in accordance with the approved designs, standards, quality, and system assurance requirements.

This is your role. What part will you play?

On site, the Installation Site Supervisor has the overall responsibility for execution and supervision of all site activities, in particular the installation of signalling equipment.

This person assumes functional representation of the overall site and the installation at internal and external project meetings.

The person is legally in control of the work site (WHS).

Main tasks:

  • Establishing and maintaining a safe, hazard free environment on site.
  • Implementing the planning, coordination of all site activities and discipline interfaces to ensure successful delivery of the site works in a cost-effective manner.
  • Take ownership of the Site Management Plan and to execute this plan, which should describe and or reference all the site requirements and proposed site works execution methodology.
  • Ensure correct supervision is provided to all staff and sub-contractors and that all internal processes are applied ensuring that all equipment has been installed in technically correct and in accordance with approved designs.
  • Managing site set-up, assessing needs, and requesting and coordinating site set-up (Mobilization & Demobilization).
  • Manage the site kick-off, including site inductions and that all persons on-site have been trained.
  • Management of a site installation schedule that ties into the master project.
  • Liaise with the customer and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that where planned works are to be performed on the customer's existing system, these impacts are minimized and agreed and managed with all stakeholders.
  • Documentation of the installation of signalling components (installation records) in line with specified guidelines; where required, updating of the records.
