Supports the HoA of Siemens Large Drives Americas with the application and implementation of approved accounting policies in line with respective legal/regulatory requirements (i.e. IFRS) and Siemens requirements (i.e. FRGs).
Supports the HoA Siemens Large Drives Americas with compliance with accounting, tax and other statutory regulations
Prepares annual statutory financial statements and footnote disclosures for its major entities.
Reviews and approves of financial statement impacting postings (manual journal entries) and related balance sheet reconciliations
Identifies and appropriately handles possible risks related to financial statements via various of analytical procedures, and addresses them to responsible contacts.
Continuously strives for more process efficiency while maintaining or increasing quality through automation and continuous process improvements.
Assists in assessing and implementing reporting system changes as required due to global or local changes in regulations or process improvements.
Supports that internal controls are in place and effective and that respective testing is done and documented, complies with external regulations, cooperates with internal and external auditors.
Collaborates effectively with internal (e.g., GBS, CF R) and external partners (e.g., external auditors.)

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and ExperienceBS/BA in finance / accounting or related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in a complex corporate accounting environment with a strong understanding and use of IFRS or US GAAP accounting principles
Previous experience in addressing and resolving non-routine and complex technical issues to timely and satisfactory conclusions, including working with management
Ability to scope, assess, and implement new technologies to automate or digitalize legacy processes
Prior track record in change management and continuous process improvements
Proficiency in SAP and MS365 applicationsStrong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting
This position will require <5% travel; work location and setup are flexible
