Job Description

Position Title: Senior Design Engineer

Location: Bellefontaine, OH

Overview:

Our technology-driven Switch engineering department currently has an immediate opening for a Senior Design Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Use Pro/Engineering (Creo) to create models and drawings of products
  • Research new materials and methods of development
  • Organize and maintain existing engineering records
  • Construct prototypes and confirm designs
  • Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes
  • Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
  • Implement New Designs at various manufacturing locations.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively

Education:

  • BSME or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 10 plus years in Mechanical / Electrical or related industry

CAD Requirements:

  • Proficient in Pro/Engineer (Creo)
  • Experience with sheet metal package
  • Experience modeling, detailing, and creating bills of material
  • Experience using Dynamic analysis tools
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
