Our Production Machines for Factory Automation (PMA) Business Segment supports our global customers with solutions and services to increase the flexibility, productivity and efficiency of their machines.

Join our Global Business Development Team in Prague / Czech Republic and help us developing high-end solutions for machine builders in the packaging industry worldwide!

You task will be: 
  • Your well-rounded packaging machinery market know-how will be the basis to continuously evaluate our customer needs, in order to define yearly budget and planning for implementation of software libraries and ready to use applications to provide our customers with best-in-class HW/SW seamlessly integrated solutions.
  • You will play a central role in collecting software requirements from our global application and sales organizations and coordinate the software development activities of our packaging applications engineering team. 
  • You will work closely with our Digitalization team for production machines to complement our packaging applications software with cutting edge digitalization technologies (e.g., virtual commissioning, digital operations)
  • You will be involved in customer meetings and provide presentations regarding our Packaging Standard Applications offering. 
  • you will be responsible for marketing strategy and activities (presentations, videos, preparation and participations in fairs and internal events) in collaboration with marketing departments to promote our Packaging Standard Applications and Software Libraries.
  • You will be part of our internal core team for International Standards for Packaging, which coordinates and define collaboration with external organizations such as OMAC, Weihenstephan Standards, OPC UA, PLCopen; you actively work together with these international organizations and represent Siemens in their workgroups with the goal of bringing the packaging industry standardization to the next level.
What we will appreciate from you:
  • You have completed a master's or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics or similar, with content in the field of drives and/or motion control technology.
  • You are highly motivated and have an excellent understanding of industrial automation, ideally in the field of production machines for packaging. First Business Development experiences will help you be successful in your new role.
  • Experience in applications programming, possibly with Siemens Automation and Motion Control systems, will be beneficial.
  • You are passionate and prepared to manage issues related to technological innovation and digitalization.
  • You have passion for exploring the new and unknown, questioning our routines and rethink the existing. Driving things forward and taking ownership is just the way you work.
  • You do not wait for something to happen, but you take initiative, you transform “it looks interesting” into concrete opportunities and pave the path to new business fields.
  • You value customer engagement and enjoy working in a global and multicultural setup.
  • You are able to quickly buildup networks and work effectively across businesses and functions.
  • You enjoy travelling for business trips (fairs, internal events, customer visits, etc.).
  • You must be able to communicate fluently in English. However, basic knowledge of German and further language skills are much appreciated.
